Setting up the Navigation Menu

Configure the navigation menu

When I upload your blog template, I will include a “blank” navigation menu. What this means, is you will have to set up the titles and URLs so that each menu goes to the right place. It’ll look like this:

URL OF MENU ONE“>menu one

URL OF MENU TWO“>menu two

URL OF MENU THREE“>menu three

URL OF MENU FOUR“>menu four

URL OF MENU FIVE“>menu five

To configure the navigation menu, you have to fix 2 parts of the code. First, replace the sections in TURQUOISE with your menu titles. Then you will have to replace the URL section (in PINK) with the URLs that you want to go with these titles. (Be careful to leave the quotes intact) Here’s an example:

Direct Contact Button

Some prefer having a direct contact button. What does that mean? if someone clicks on the word “contact” it will open the their email application and start a new email message directed to you. To do this, change “URL OF MENU” to “mailto:templates@blushink.com”, replacing the code with your email.

Open in a new browser window

By default, when clicking on the menu title, the page will launch in the same browser window. If you would like for it to launch a new browser window, add target=”_blank” just before href.
